The American Heart Association has worked for over 100 years to fight against heart disease and stroke and help families to thrive. The Heart Association has invested $4.6 billion in research funding since 1949, trains 22 million people each year in CPR, helps support double-digit declines in deaths from strokes and heart attacks, impacts 12 million people with nutrition improvements,  and  benefits more than 19 million patients with its Quality Care Initiative for high blood pressure.
