The American Red Cross is sleeves up, hearts open, all in. Through the donation of time, money, and blood, the organization coordinates a network of donors, volunteers, and employees to provide compassionate care to those in need and works to prevent and relive suffering both in the US and abroad. The Red Cross provides vital services during emergencies and also teaches life-saving skills to help individuals and communities be better prepared to respond when the need arises. The Red Cross is involved in many areas, from helping the recovery through disaster aid both in the US and internationally and providing lifesaving blood, to training and certification for health and safety courses for individuals and companies, to supporting service members, veterans, and their families.
