The Cancer Research Foundation believes research is the best hope against cancer. The Foundation has invested in research for over 60 years and positions themselves as Cancer Research Venture Philanthropists, who make early investments in bold ideas in the fight against cancer. They have funded over 100 young cancer investigators, who have turned into pioneers in the fight against cancer. The group invests in ideas and minds, taking "long-shot" bets with relatively small amounts of grant money and then leveraging the collective knowledge and experience of the Foundation, it's allies, and its past grantees to provide out-sized advancement given the amount of the investment.
